some one stole my TS 22 buttset yesterday on the jobsite

I finished the job with a 2500 set and a modtap adapter anyway I was looking at a chesilval uts 4 to replace it and was wondering if anyone had any experiance with these or chesilval test sets in general .

never heard of them, why not get a TS30? jeff moss

I have a UTS 3, that I love. The only thing I don't like is the two-way speakerphone. I never use it, and the default mode is for the mic to be "live". When IDing lines in the speakerphone mode, I have to keep hitting the "mute" button.

One of these days, I'm just going to take the microphone out of it, or put a switch in-line with it.

I have one that is great!! never want an other Please let me know if the information that was provided is helpfull.

Is there actuallty something better than a TS22?

I have heard of them but wondered about the quaility , from what I can see the uts4 has all the features of the ts22aol and then some I found them new online for 99.00 plus 6.oo shipping 105.00 total

why not a ts 30 ? I really like at least a one way speaker , I do use the two way speaker on occasion and I like the idea of data lockout with override
definatly want override I had a early ts22 with data lockout and no overide and you couldnt pull dialtone on a line with static ,got rid of that one real quick

TouchToneTommy and europe

thanks for the response I think I'll go ahead and order one glad to hear they are a quality item

for that price, you are lucky to find something good.
about the only thing i have seen in that price range is the Test-Um Little Buttie, which looks more like a cellphone jeff moss

I have a TS22L and I like it a whole lot.

I reversed the clip on the top so that when it's on my belt, the keypad is facing out, so I don't hvae to take it off my belt to use it, that way I can do two things at once when I'm testing, etc. Samething with my sidekick.
