Button to Cancel Page in mid broadcast

When someone messes up a Page, is there a button combo to cancel it as it is playing? I ask this because almost every day, someone hits the Page button on accident and the message broadcasted is static and random voices.

Hangup or press release.

Problem people:
-remove page button, advise them to use the feature code instead.
-Deny paging via programming

Better to hit the release button so others don't hear the "BANG!" of the handset hanging up.

Is there a way to do it from another phone that didnt initiate the page?

But you can set the time out for less.

If the button gets pressed by accident, maybe you could move it to another button to avoid this.

Oh come on Brian,

I love the hangup noise from Nortel phones, it's so crisp clear and well engineered....much better than some Panasonic, Vodavi, or Non Nortel system....

I think I do have a solution for DrBob.....If you know the extension that the page is coming from, you can interrupt it with Feature 69 Priority Call. You have to make sure that all extensions allow Priority Call. I just tried it out on my BCM phones and it works...but I do remember this also working on the Norstar 8x24.
