Busy Tone Query

I have just installed an IP Office but cannot get the individual user handsets to send busy tone. Problem being when calls are being transferred the operator doesn't know if they are on the blower or not. I have tried removing the call appearance buttons (all 5410 handsets) in an attempt to force busy tone, but this does not work either. Help!

Give the user 2 call appearances
Then in the tab telephony select reserve last CA
When the user is on a caal then you will get busy

Also a good tool for an operator is softconsole wich has blf so the operator can see who is already on a call and much much more

Thanks, I'll give that a whirl. It's not an operator as such - just 3 girls answering in a collective group on 5410 handsets.

If it is a small company then you could add buttons to the 5410's (if room left)
Make a button with user and extension number
You will see it when that user is busy

Dude,
You might consider using phone manager. How long have you been installing phone systems?

I have been installing systems for 10 years now - Although I have set up on my own in the last couple of years and have only recently begun installing IP Office.

Yes I know - I do use the context sensitive help, but for some reason I just could not find a way to resolve this issue. I have been able to upgrade from level 2 to level 4.1(12) using the 3.x.999 binaries, load the IPO onto servers and allow remote access, whereas I find what should be simple issues need a lot of head scratching!!!
