Hi All, I have a customer that is CM 6.3 SIP. And the are basically needing call park, but they have set it up with phantom extensions and put bridged appearances. They want to set up busy indicators on SIP phones for those stations but they do not light up. Any ideas or suggestions. Thier current setup is " 3 extensions programmed as a 9608 h323 and the bridged appearances of those extensions are on sip phones and the busy indicators are also on other sip phones, but the lights do not come on"

Thanks, Phil

If you check the status of the registered SIP phones, is the AST check box checked?

The phones are just built for bridged appearance extensions so they can transfer calls to them and staff around the suite can pickup the call on them.,
so no there is no ast because the actual instrument doesn't exist. Kinda quirky I know but looks like we may have to have the phones registered to get the busy indicators. They aren't too happy about having 4 phones registered and hidden in a closet just to have 4 bridged extensions they can forward paged calls to.

If this is a SIP endpoint with a brdg-appr and it is attempting to monitor an h323 station, the SIP endpoint needs to be AST capable. Is that the case or not?
