Hi all,
I may be in the wrong forum. If so, sorry.

Is it possible to burn DVD using NT 4.0? I have installed a Lite-on 8X DVD writer in NT 4.0 and when going to install the software, Nero 6 Suite, a msg popped up telling me the software is only designed for 98, ME, 2000 and XP. I stopped there as I wasn't game to go further.

I thought maybe I could use an older version of Nero or EZY CD but then that version probably wouldn't recognise the burner :-(
I hope someone has some info or can direct me to a forum where I might get an answer.

Thanks.....any help appreciated.

Ssshaker,
dvd writing does work with NT4 as i currently use a Plextor dvd drive with Nero (version 5.5.10.45) & have not had any problems.
If you could get the v5.5 software you could give it a shot and see if it picks it up.

Hope this helps

Hi Fam....thanks for that. Will give it a try.

Hi again.... I tried Ver 5.5 but didn't recognise the burner and couldn't get an update to stick so went to Ver 6 and though burns extremely slow. appears to be workung fine. Nero has a neat configuration for unattended backups as well so quite handy.
Thanks again and merry xmas to all :)

Oh yeah...OK. I didn't think of that.
Thanks heaps
