Hello All,

Everytime that I start Avaya Site Administrator I get a message that says "Bulletin Board Error", then it says "Bulletin Board Last Modified on 9/9/2002". How do I get rid of this or how do I fix this error? Thank you for any help that you might be able to give me.

I been wondering this myself, that message messes up the autotime change in ASA cause you have to manually hit enter.

There are 2 things that can be done: First if the bulletin board messages are old and do not apply any more you can do a 'change bull' and erase the messages. The first 10 lines are reserved for Avaya and are preceeded by a '*'. If these are the lines that need to be deleted open a ticket with Avaya and have them delete the messages. The other thing that you can do is download a patch from the Avaya web site for ASA 1.10 that prevents scheduled tasks from running because of the bulletin board messages.

I have changed in the past but the message continues coming up about the bulletin board. I guess this is something that Avaya uses to notify? Joel

The following information is from the Avaya Support website regarding the patch for ASA 1.10:
***********************************
Avaya Site Administration 1.10.11 Patch Fix

The following patch file, (asa_1_10_11_p001.exe) is a patch fix for Avaya Site Administration version 1.10.11and should be applied only to this version of ASA to correct the following known issues:

1, The switch error dialog box that occurs as a result of a bulletin board message from the switch is preventing scheduled jobs from running.

NOTE: The bulletin board message fix only applies to the scheduler of ASA. You will still see the message when using Emulation or GEDI.

2, While running a list station report from the Advanced tab\Report, ASA fails with the error message: (Report (list Station type 2500) failed: 750 records have been searched.

3, When adding buttons on a 4624 IP station the text for the bottom right button is not displayed and does not print when clicking on the print label button on the button administration form.

4, While using the change user wizard to change a button feature ASA\DSA will not complete the change. ASA\DSA fails with the error: (the port specified is invalid)

FINAL NOTE: Be sure to shutdown ASA before installing the patchfix.

Actually, I typed in "change bulletin-board" and then removed the 'star' from the first editable line and have not received that bulletin board message again. Joel
