Does Win2k have some kind of built-in messaging system, so that administrators can send messages to specific or all users on their network??

To self answer:

from the command prompt:

net send [ip or computer name] "message"

Email is a better solution. =) With net send commands you can only send to 1 user or computer at a time.

I think that no one posted because you asked how to send to multiple/all users and net send cannot do this.

Click start run then type mmc click console then add/remove snap in..., then click add. Then Add shared folders choose a shared directory local or remote, then click okay. save the console, now right click on shared folders click all tasks, send console message. this will send to anyboy you choose, everybody with NT is default.
