Hi-

I am trying to build an index for a book in quark.

I have all of my entries from each chapter entered, but I cannot figure out how to tell quark to search the entire book for one word.

(i.e. if I have the word "physics" in chapter 1 of my book entered as an index word, how do I find ALL other occurences of this word both in the chapter I'm working in and in the book?)

Can I do this while building an index?

thank you,

Brian O'Leary

Does anyone have any suggestions for this poster? I am stuck on the same problem. I have a list of entries I want to get page numbers on, for the back of the book, but don't know how to create one in Quark

press command+f (find/replace)
type the word you want to find, make sure the Document window is ticked then start with your cursor on the first page then click find, keep clicking find until the end.

But will that create a page number list, or would that be something that i would have to work out manually? The book is at 300 pages right now...
