I discovered a but in 7.0 after I upgraded. Under 6.0, I had a specific naming schema with brackets, dashes and spaces for my centrally located media agent names so they would be at the top of the list (I have about 40 of them total). I am also running grid stor with load balanced / redundant data paths between the 5 I had specially named. Once I upgraded, the only media agent that would allow clients to back up to it was the commserve itself, which shared the index cache. It only took Commvault and myself 5 and 1/2 hours on the phone to figure out what was going on and correct the issue. I'm not sure if I can go back to my naming convention now that I'm upgraded, but wanted to give you guys a heads up in case any of you have a naming schema other than the default FQDN like I did.
