Would anyone have a schematic or any advice on fixing the drawer on an CD RW drive? My son did something to it when it was open and pulled it off the track. My husband got it back on track, but something still isn't right; it won't open or close with the button.

TIA,

Just pull the casings off. Usually 5 or 6 small phillips head screws. With the drawer open (use a paper clip in the tiny hole in front, then pull it open gently) you should be able to line up the gears from the motor with the drawer gears. It's just out a few teeth on the worm gear. You'll see it once you're inside.
Of course this voids any warranty.
Proceed at your own risk. Cheers,
Jim
