Broadcast Agent on UNIX

Hello All,

Is anybody using Broadcast agent on a UNIX platform and trying to save reports as PDF from a Windoes PC? If so, how are you getting it to work?! When you select a location to save the report as PDF to, the UNIX Box won't recognise locations such as c:/temp therefore the job fails.

Use UNC paths like \\servername\foldername

But how would we get the two boxes to talk to each other across a network? Can we simply assume that a UNIX box would recognise a windows share?

If you want the unix box to save it on a windows share (say on a third machine) you must make it see that "shared folder" with a tool like SAMBA under the correct name (UNC path)
