I have a exchange server being rejected because of it is broadcasting our domain name instead of our e-mail server address. How do I change that?

Is it getting rejected because the DNS is not reversing, or is your internal domain non-compliant?

You can chagne the domain sufix though Right click My computer --> Properties. Go to Network ID Tab, Click Properties, Click More Then change it here.

Then go into Exchange Sytem manager, navigate to servers --> Server name --> Protocols --> SMTP --> Default SMTP virtual server (or whatever you have it named) and right click the object, select properties, select Delivery tab and click advanced.

Update the masqurade domain, and then change the fully qualified domain name to what you want it to be. Ensure that HOST, PTR, and MX records are correct for what you change it to.

That should be it.

The Domain was not compliant. Thanks for helping me find the setting. I moved it our of our internal domain to a valid dns server. I will test it now to see it it works.

I beleive that took care of the problem. Thanks for helping the brain dead.
