Brightstor V9.0 restore no session detail how to prevent

I have Brightstore V 9.0 on windows 2000 server. My situation is I have no session to select when I try to restore by session. I have read previous post question and found that I can use merge without using catalog by edit the registry and it work very fine but it took me nearly half a day to just restore one tiny file.
So, I did erase all program include registry and reinstall all the program and it is not solving for 3 times but finally work at the 4th. I don't know why. I have session detail in database for 3 months and now it is happening again. Could anyone tell me what is the cause of this changing and how to prevent it.
I would want it to store in my database as it is time critical to restore file.


ps. this is also happen to another server using arcserve V6.61 on winnt 4.0.

Could be due to database corruption.

Thanks for you help davidmichel. However, I am sure that the database is not corrupted. I have initialized the database so it is gurantee to be fresh but it still no session detail. That is why I reinstall the program last time. Now this is just coming again.

Had this problem constantly with VLDB under 2000, went to SQL haven't had the problem since.
