Greetings-

I'm new to BrightStor and I'm glad to see this forum-

I've replaced a net admin that left the company very abruptly and did not do a knowledge transfer on the way out the door. I'm scrambling to get the network on it's feet agian and backups have not been done for a month plus.

We are using BrightStor 11.1 (3202)on W2K Server. I'm burning through the forums looking for answers to my questions, but maybe someone could point me in the right direction if they are more familiar than I am with this.

I'd like to start with printing out a current list of everything in the backup schedule. What's being backed up, when it's being backed up, average backup size, and time taken to back up data. I've banged around CA's website for two days and nothing, I've also sent support two emails with no response. I'm a little nervous about things as like I said we have no backup for almost 2 months now.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Jeramie,

easiest way for now:

1. check the Job Queue Manager, in there you will find all jobs that have been configured to run according to schedules
2. when you select a job in the screen below you will find two tabs: the job detail and the job log. The first will tell you all settings for that particular job and the second is the log with the latest results, throughput figures, media used, warnings and errors.
3. you can print both out if desired

regards

Thanks Cyklops!

That's exactly what I was looking for- found my jobs and got the schedules all printed out-

Your information was a huge help to me and I greatly appreciate your help in getting this back up and going for me.
