Hello,

I found a closed thread related to the problem I´m experiencing, thread861-1066210. Running cstop.bat and cstart.bat (restarts many CA services) does solve the problem of the blank log in Job Status, as it was said.

However, the problem I have is that caloggerd.exe keeps crashing. The event viewer error is: Faulting application caloggerd.exe, version 11.1.3200.0, faulting module ca70mt.dll, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x0000ade4.

The CA BrightStor Domain Server service (and all others) continues to run, but in the task manager I can see caloggerd.exe is no longer running.

If I restart the CA BrightStor Domain Server service, the problem is resolved, temporarily, until caloggerd.exe crashes again the next day. I am loosing all the log info from the time the exe crashes until I notice and get it running again, and this exe keeps crashing on me every day.

Any idea why this happens all of a sudden now, everyday, when a week ago everything was ok? Any idea how to fix this?

Thank you,

pmbm

Quick fix uninstall, restart the system, and then reinstall.
or put the Job Engine in debug mode, when it crashes ck the Dr Watson log to get a time stamp and then see what was happening at that time in the activity log. Perhaps it relates to a specific job or target, or spomething else specific.

I have been checking, and caloggerd.exe crashes every night at the same time, exactly when the database prune job is scheduled to run.

No changes have been made to this job and it has been running at the same time for a long time without any problems, but for some reason it is now causing caloggerd.exe to fail.

Any other ideas? I´ll continue looking and let you know if I find something.

Ok, I am giving up and following Davidmichel´s advice: uninstalling, reinstalling, recreating all the jobs. Regards,
