bridged app's showing caller id in release 8.1?

is there a way to change what a bridge appearance button presents to the other ext it lives on. on the 54xx it would just have the line under it to show it was in use.

now in 8.1 with 9508 phones I have an admin with bridges of many people on her phone. when one of the exts that live on her phone gets a call the bridge now only shows the inbound caller id. so If you are scaning through your phone you just see phone #'s not the bridged app name. so its have to remember who's bridge it is?

You can't effect anything like that, annoying but true. Like with 1408's and 1608's if the caller ID and group name is longer than the screen can show (which it always is) it just chops the group name off and doesn't and can't be scrolled...pointless

nice, they are used to the 54xx phones. it makes it hard for them to keep track of whos on calls.

Can't they use User buttons instead? They will know who's button it is then and it can still be pressed to answer...doesn't ring though, but that might be a good thing, it's hard to miss a flashing button

I will see if they like that, but they answer all the calls for the mangers. put it on hold then IM them to pick it up. they also all join together on the same line to talk, create conf calls for them, transfer them to other people off the bridge app's.

if they pick up the user button they would need to park calls back and forth and wouldn't be able to press 1 button to get back on the line to all talk together. hard sell after doing it the old way forever.
