I have been trying to set up bridge-appr and it hasn't been working. I set each ext with a brdg-appr button and set a button to call-appr. I want ext 7209 to ring at 4 or 5 other locations. What do I need to set on the primary 7209 to have it bridge to the other phones? Now I have Bridge call alerting set to Y and nothing happens. What am I missing. Thanks for your help.

when you say 'bridged call alerting set to Y', you are talking about the 4 or 5 stations you are putting the bridge-appr on.

Bridged Call Alerting? y
Restrict Last Appearance? n

If Restrict Last Appearance is "y", the appearance will not receive incoming calls. It and any bridge is reserved for outgoing.

you should have 2 call-appr and 2 bridges of the other extension's call-appr on each phone

I programmed the 5 ext with brdg-appr buttons with button 3 and ext 7209. I set the bridged call alerting to Y on all the ext. I have restrict last appearence to N. I am going from directions from the book(which are a little vague). I guess I am looking for step by step instructions to set this up. Kind of lost here.

Thanks,

for each station you want 7209 to ring at via a bridged-appr...
cha station xxxx.
in the 4th button, put in brdg-app 7209 1
in the 5th button, put in brdg-app 7209 2
on each one of those 4 or 5 ext, make bridged call allerting to y.
what you have just done is make extension 7209's first call appr ring on the 4th button and the second call appr ring on the 5th button of those 4 or 5 extentions.

btw, what type of set is the 7209 ext and what is the type of set the 4 or 5 that you want 7209 to ring at?

Oooo...

You only bridged button 3!? That's the problem.

Button 3 on station 7209 will likely never ring. You would have to have both buttons 1 and 2 on station 7209 in use before button 3 will ring.

You need to bridge buttons 1 and 2. Those are the buttons a call will arrive on.

They are all 6408D+. I will try this and see.
Thanks,

On those 6408's with the br appr don't forget to stroke the "per button ring control" to Y on page 2
