Booting XP

Hey Tek-Tips, so I have a problem, I put a hard drive into my computer as a slave, the master had XP home on it, and I was attempting to install XP pro onto the slave.

Long story short, the slave hard drive was taken out of my machine, but now on start-up it always asks which OS I want to boot. It has Pro as it's default, and since the drive with Pro is not in my machine, well, it always restarts itself unless i'm there to choose XP home.

Any ideas?

Remove PRO from the Boot.ini, or make Home your default startup operating System.

System Properties/ Advanced/ Start Up and Recovery/ Settings/ System Startup (+ Edit)

Do the above as an Administrator.

In Recovery Console type:

bootcfg /Rebuild
(Answer all the prompts)
Then type:
fixboot c:
exit
