Hello,
I have been trying to install Windows 2000 server from a boot disk i have just created. The disk now seems to work fine, the new problem lies in a error message I receive after the boot disk has loaded. It says "Windows 2000 could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: <Windows 2000 root>\System32\ Ntoskrnl.exe."
I have read the article at Microsoft Knowledge Base
(aspLN=ENUS&SD=gn&FR=0&qry=ntoskrnl.exe&rnk=1&src=DHCS_MSPSS_
gn_SRCH&SPR=WIN2000)
surrounding this problem with earlier versions of windows (NT). I have tried this solution but after completing the line of DOS code it asks for you to perform (Attrib -S -R C:\Boot.ini), it comes back with...oh yes... another error message, this time saying "cant reset hidden file". How can I change this file from being hidden? It doesn't seem to let my change it in W2k or in the Command Prompt.
Thanks in advance.
