Body type not supported by Remote Host

I have a W2K server in my DMZ running SMTP relay mail to an
internal mail server(exch 5.5).
I'm seeing occasional delivery failures with the following error:

Reporting-MTA: dns;mail.mycompany.com
Received-From-MTA: dns;mail.othercompany.com
Arrival-Date: Mon, 8 Apr 2002 12:13:01 -0400
Final-Recipient: rfc822;user@mycompany.com
Action: failed

Diagnostic-Code: smtp;554 5.6.1 Body type not supported by

The vast majority of emails are getting through fine .
I have also notice that the majority errors occurs when I have got mails from domains *.il;*.de;*.it, maybe some characters are not supported?!

If anyone can shed some light on this I would REALLY appreciate it.

I have not seen this before, but would assume it has something to do with the mail format?

Perhaps those sites will only accept Text emails rather than HTML based emails.

That mean that my exchnage is accept only text emails.
Then how could I change it to accept all kinds of mails?

I double checked and I was was incorrect in suggesting that it could be an HTML/Text issue.

It is apparently to do with the email being in 8 Bit MIME, which you do not support.
