I have a problem when I want to work in high resolution/high refresh reate (the screen gets kind of blurry).

My configuration:
Iiyama HA202Dt VisionMaster pro 512 monitor in combination with an Hercules 3D Prophet 9000 card.

Recommended resolution for the monitor is 1800x1440@85 Hz, but this is rather blurry. At the moment I work in 1600x1200@85 Hz, which is quite ok (although at the left of the screen everything is a little more "hazy " as the rest of the screen area). But when I increase the refresh rate, the screens get blurry.

My question:
Could this be a problem in the monitor, in the video card, or maybe even in the monitor cable?

Obvious thing to try would be another monitor.
Sounds like that's the culprit (to me). Mostly 'cause my own old monitor has the same symptoms and then eventually gets better as it warms up. Does yours improve after awhile?

Thanks for the quick response!

No it does not perofrm better after a while. And the problem is that the monitor is not old at all; I bought it a few weeks ago and it has always had this problem.

But I cannot compare with my old monitor, because the old one is not capable of refreshing higher than 60 Hz in resolutions higher than 1280x1024.
