Bluetooth functionality on 1100 series IP Phone

Can anybody guide me how to use bluetooth functionality on Nortel 1100 series IP Phones

Only the 1140 has bluetooth in it. You have to have the bluetooth function patched as well. It may be standard now but we had to upgrade our firmware to make it work.

1120's are being considered for bluetooth but I have no idea when.

- double press "Services" key
- press key "1" (Preferences)
- press key "3" (Bluetooth Setup)
- use the left/right cursor to navigate to "Enable Bluetooth:" checkbox and hit enter key (center of navigation cluster) to put a checkmark in the box
- use the right cursor to navigate to "Use Bluetooth headset:" checkbox and hit enter key to put a checkmark in the box
- prepare your bluetooth headset for pairing (read manufacturers directions)
- use the right cursor to navigate to "Search" and hit enter key key. Bottom of screen will show "Searching ...". If successful, you will see an entry under Found:
- use the right cursor to navigate to "Pair" and hit enter key key. Respond to the "Enter Pin#" prompt if required. If successful, you will see the device in the Paired box.
- hit the "Exit" softkey.

To make a call from the bluetooth headset, either press the "headset" key or press the button on the headset. Incoming calls will give a tone through the bluetooth headset. To answer a call on the bluetooth headset, either press the "headset" key or press the button on the headset. To release calls, use the "Goodbye" key or the button on the headset.

Is thr any prequisite patch required in the meridian system for bluetooth functionality? And what is the mininum firware requied in 1140 to support bluetooth.

There is no patch required on the core call server. The latest firmware for the IP Phone 1140E is C3C.
