Blue Tooth to computer dialing system?

What would be necessary to set up a blue tooth connection to my computer. The system would have to be voip or land line based (connected modem exists) .

This question is missing a lot of what it takes to answer it, like - for what? But here's a scenario for you.

I have a laptop that I need to connect to all my PBX's for support. When I am away from the area and an emergency arises I needed a way to be able to dial out no matter where I was, so I purchased a USB Bluetooth dongle for the laptop. I use that to establish a bluetooth connection to my cell phone, and then my cell phone serves as a modem or VPN web connection depending on the access capabilities of the system in trouble. Most of my PBX stuff only needs 9600 or 19,200 baud so that doesn't stress the cell phone any.

This is just one example - maybe if you tell us what your goals are we can come up with others.

Actually what you describe is another but less pressing wish.

What I really want to do is to use the computer + blue tooth ear piece as a telephone on a standard system. (Should have said that). XP Pro 64 system, Motorola blue tooth. Both dial up and ethernet modems are installed.

not for this issue, which was resolved relatively simply: It appears that you cannot set up a connection without a passkey, which is a story in itself.

With a brief passkey it works fairly well. I have just set it up with the laptop and desktop to transfer files, which, on the other hand, is way too slow.
