This is a shot in the dark.. We recently converted our MX record to our side so we can host our mail through exchange. We have an SMTP server which also acts as a SPAM server. Problem is, some of our programs use a MAPI type program to send out automated emails externally. All they used to do is say look for this server "mail.emailserver.com" and come from user@email.com. It kind of masked everything. Now that everything runs through our exchange server, which is blocked by our firewall. They must point there program to look for the local exchange server "servername" instead of mail.emailserver.com. Mail works fine, BUY when you look at the header of the email that comes from here, it shows our local domain, and local IP addresses it came from. That is NOT good. Is there a way to mask these headers in exchange so external people who receive our email dont see this? Any help would be great, this is kind of a hot button. thanks!
