Exchange 5.5 on Windows NT 4 sp6

How do I block a domain or a specific email address from my Exchange server.

Is this done in IMS - Connections tab - Message Filtering?

And do I just add an entry user@domain.com?

Thanks

Yup. For a while domain just use @domain.com

You'll then need to stop and restart the IMS.

It does - I've got hundreds in there. Only downer is how to document what they are easily. I'll have a look in the registry and see if there is a key that stores them all.

They are stored in the Turf directory in the registy. That information was posted under blocked sites or blocked domains, can't remember which one. You can cut and paste to that directory rather than typing the domains in one at a time or delete them all at one time.

you can find a list of blacklisted smtp spammers at njabl.org

What would be useful is if Exchange could link itself directly to that site!!!

Now THAT'S a challenge to someone...
