Afternoon all, has anyone come up with a way to NOT have the name/number display on an internal call? I have a user who's asking for this, and I want to give the correct answer the first time. Thanks In Advance.

If you give the user a unique COS, where the "Client Room" has been turned on, when the station makes an outbound internal call, the extension is not displayed but the information in the "Room" field is.

I don't know of a way to surpress the display of the name, but you could give him/her a bridged appearence of a station where the name has been left blank or set with a generic name.

Thanks to you both for your answers. Speaking of CM4, rumour has it that this release will allow you to use 9xxx as an extension range as well as keep 9 as your FAC for ars. Any truth to this?

PhoneTechMan,

you can do this using "ars without fac" feature, it comes as standard starting with cm2.
however, question is why would you need to do that.

dwalin, my company owns an entire range of DID's, and one of our site uses the 9xxx range.
