i'm using Postini for a spam solution and am wondering how i block all mail traffic except from their ip range. i have exchange 2k3 and also a PIX firewall. thanks.

Use the PIX firewall and allow port 25 from your specific IP range.

yeah, i'll do the PIX. is there a way to do it if i didn't have the PIX (within exchange)?

here's how to lock down the Exchange to a set of IP's etc.:

Open up Exchange System Manager

Double Click the following icons
- Servers > Mail Server Name > SMTP

Right Click and Go to Properties for "Default SMTP Virtual Server"
Click the "Access" Tab
Click Connections
Click "Only the List Below" Which only allows the follow IP addresses to use the SMTP Resource"

Click Add > Group of Computers
