I need to block one user from the web, buit not the intranet.

How would I block one win 98 pc from accessing external web addresses, while maintaining the access to internal web addresses?

Our router (not cisco) does not support this capability(and I apologize for asking for your cisco expertise). Perhaps some software, or dual internal network addressing will allow this. I have to keep the machine as a 98 due to the equipment attached.

Appreciate your replies. Jonathan Galpin

if you have the time, check out "System Policy Editor" on technet... it's not a trivial issue; but it should be possible if you have an NT-class server and you're willing to lock down all users of the W98 system based on loginid... JTB

Is your intranet on the same IP subnet as this win 98 pc? If so and the pc never needs to connect to any device off that subnet try removing the default gateway setting on the PC. A bit of a bodge way, but may work in a very basic network.

I'm suprised that your router hasnt any filtering capability.
