Is it possible to block a (or a group) of users from sending external mail?
I still want them to be able to receive mail, but not send any. They can send within the company, but not to external domains.
Many thanks.

In the SMTP connector you can deny them. Not in front of a box at the mo so can't give you exact details, but you should find it.

ESM, Connectors, SMTP properties.

Hi! Thanks for the rapid reply.
On my E2k3 setup - I cannot see any smtp connectors - there is a calendar connector, but that is it.

This user, at the moment, collects his email either via IMAP or OWA - does that make any difference to the solution?

ok, ESM, Servers, Protocols, SMTP, Default SMTP Virtual Server. Right click, properties. Access. Authentication. Users. Add in your users / groups and tick the deny option.

Thanks again for your prompt reply.
I guess I must be doing something wrong - I set this setting on my email account (to test it), then sent an email outside of my domain, and it worked no problem at all.

Which is odd - because it looks like that "deny" should do the trick.
