Hi All,

I have an IP4.06 4.2(4)with office manager 6.2(4)installed. Unfortunately, we've become the favorite call destination for some whacko that has literally called and left over 150 voicemails in the last 2 days.

Anyway, is there a way in IPO to block a particular telephone number. This is a problem thats really started to escalate.

Thanks in advance for any help.

if the moron has not been witholding his CLI you can add a new route for his number. point it to a call flow that plays a "nice" message.

If you really want to mess with him, forward the call back to him. Credit to TLpeter for that one :-)

If you have the CLI of the caller then yes you can

If you have vmpro then it would be even better

Put in the CLI in to the incoming call route without entering the DDI

Route it to a shortcode with busy or module and put in a wav file or route it to something funny :-)

Thanks guys. I do have vmpro. Could you be a bit more specific on the actual how to? I'm a novice small business guy so I have to wear many hats at the moment. Cheers.

Make a module and a generic action
Record a wav file that you are calling the police right now and make another wav file with some funny things like a 911 operator or something :-)

Put those in to the module

Then go to the incoming call route on the ipoffice
Put in a new one with only the CLI of the caller and route it to VM:modulename (the name you gave to the module)

Test this with your cell phone(another incoming call route like discribed before) and there you are
