Hi all,

first, thanks for everyone who provide wonderful info on how to set blocking list on a Exchange 5.5 in some pervious threads,
but my question is how to block email which came from a specific domain, in this case vmadmin.com,
I've been trying manually input vmadmin.com, *@vmadmin.com, and @vmadmin.com in the Turftable key under HKLM\system\currentcontrolset\msexchangeIMC\parameters but nothing works, our users still getting email from this domain,
However, if a specific sender name is added, such as someone@vmadmin.com, will work just fine, by reading the log file,

Thanks in advance for any reply

Under the internet mail service, go to the connections tab and hit the message filtering button. Here you can setup individual users or domains to block from.

I do this for certain domains and it works a treat.

You also have the option herre to move them to the turf directory as well.

Cheers

Thanks for your reply,

the message filtering entries can be done within the IMC connection tab or directly add to the registry as described in other threads,
the question here is, what is the correct way to enter the value in the domain/user field, is domain, @domain, or *@domain, or there is a bug in MS's product.

Thanks,
dennis

That's all I have done it to enter the Domain name - i.e. hotmail.com or for a user - user@hotmail.com

Hope this helps
