Blank screen after launching published app

We are running Win2K/MFXP. We have 4 servers dedicated to running one published app. This has been running problem-free for about a year now. Just this week, I now have problems with 2 users.

User1: Runs WinXP. (same as me) Launches app, logs in, everything disappears, 3-5 minutes later, app appears, and runs normally. If I log in as this user at my desk, I have no problems. It lauches immediately.

User2: Runs Win98. Lauches and run properly from his desk. He also needs to run this at another desk. (Win98) Launches app, logs in, and it disappears to the desktop and never comes up. If I log in as user2 at my desk, it does the same thing. Log in, disappear, never appears.

On both users:
ICA Connection Center says the it is still running. If I force "Full Screen", it will pull up a blank windows desktop. Totally blue, no toolbars/start menu...

All of the above clients have been update to the most recent version. (and on a tip from the Citrix KB, I installed the 6.31 client on my machine, with no success)

We have around 100 users of this app, and only these 2 have logged complaints. I am at a loss here...

Any ideas?

Hello - not sure exactly but I wonder if it could be a roaming profile issue perhaps? Kinda wierd though by the sounds of it!

Good luck!

We've all heard that a million monkeys banging on a million typewriters will eventually reproduce the entire works of Shakespeare. Now, thanks to the Internet, we know this is not true. [Robert Wilensky, 1997]

We had a very similar problem, thread48-622522. When the user launched an app, you'd see the splash screen but the app would never open. The mgmt console would show a session, then the server would lock up. Ours turned out to be a Print Driver, check the event log. That is where we found the clue for our problem....
