Blank preview tabs

Hi everyone

I suspect there may be a really obvious answer to this question but I'll risk looking like a bonehead and ask it anyway.

When I click on a group in the "Group Tree" panel of the Preview screen, a new blank tab opens labeled with the selected groups name. I want to print out the whole of a report but am only able to print the final group.

Why is this?

I will assume that you are in the CR program (not in some other app running CR).

If you want to print out the whole report you don't need to click on the group tree. Close all of these extra tabs (using the little red x) until you are back to a single preview window. If your preview is correct (showing all groups) then you should be able to just click "print".

Clicking on the Group tree will either take you to that group in the report or drill down to the details of that group. If you don't see any details on drill down they are probably either suppressed details or the detail line is empty. Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting

Hi Ken,
Thanks very much for taking time out to reply. I've worked out what was happening and unfortunately it looks like I've wasted your time.

The report I had the problem with was never designed to be a multi page report. Data was put into page header sub-sections. Group header and details sections have been suppressed and a cross tab put into report footer. So obviously when I click on a group header in the group tree a preview tab is opened showing a suppressed group header and a suppressed details section i.e. blank screen.
