How do I getrid of a blank page at the begining of a report?

Does your report header have "New page before" selected in the Section Expert? (what version are you using)

Are you using 'Keep Group Together'? On Crystal 8.5, this will leave the first page blank if the first group woould not fit on it. This applies even when that group extends over more than one page.

As Katy44 says, it helps to give your Crystal version, since newer versions have extra solutions, and some extra problems.

use the "notonfirstrecord" command in the x-2 button for new page after or new page before options located at the group level.

I read thru the steps above and still have a problem:

I'm using Crystal Reports 8.5

My report header has "New page before" selected in the Section Expert, but it is grayed out and I can't touch it.

My group header & footer did NOT have the "new page before" selected.

Any reason why?

You might want to start a separate thread as this one is very old.

If it's grayed out, then it may be that it is suppressed, even when suppressed you should be able to "touch it" though.

Again, try starting a new thread if this doesn't help, and make sure that you understand whether any of the sections are suppressed or hidden (right click the section on the left and select format section, that will show all of the attributes for the section and their settings).

I am using vers. 8.5. I find that in the report header the "new page before" is greyed out. However if I have subsections (a and b), the "new page before" is not greyed out for these subsections.
