I would like to use Access to gather data together which I can then link to an Excell spreadsheet for charting.

The query I want to paste as a link into excell has lots of blank cells because I have used a crostab query to change the layout.
When I paste this query into excell the blank cells become 0 which is no good when some of the actual data in the query is 0.
How can I get round this?
I have tried substituting the blank cells for some text using forula in the query, but then it means the data won't chart in Excell so I'm a bit stumped.
Any help would be much appriated.
Thanks

I'm no Excel Expert but can't you get Excel to chart the data the way you want without using the crosstab?

If you don't use the crosstab, you want have blanks for Excel to treat as 0.

In Excel, empty cells can be

not plotted,
interpreted as ZERO or
interpolated.

A ZERO is a ZERO.
