Bitext one each other correspondence

I have this:
-Two text one each others translation.
-I have with word is with words tranlation.
Want to do this:
-Two text apears in the browser (maybe two frames)
-When I click in one word in one text, change other side text to show transation (correspondence)
My problems:
1)how to detect witch part of the text have been clicked. I was thinking about textarea events, but I can't find the solution.
2)how to change html documents source (or part of text area)

Sorry, I mean:
I' trying to do a web page with two frames (one text in each frame). How can I do to, when click in one of the texts:
-detect which word (which position in the text) have been clicked.
-to change other sides part of texts properties (only a part).
