I have an old computer that I would like to update the bios on. I don't have any docs on it so I don't know who manufactured it. Can anyone help me out here?

Motherboard: VIA VT82C586B S7-SB 9834CD Taiwan 12B414800, VIA VT82C598MVP Taiwan 13G025800.
On a white sticker on the mainboard: S7-MVP3 REV.1.2

Try
click the link for S7-MVP3. It's a bin file. You will need to download the "AMD Flash for BIOS" file as well. Make sure you read all documents fully. Also make sure that you backup the current bios. (this is an option when upgrading).

I also fond this URL
it has info on the jumper settings, mothboard manual, guide to update bios etc. It also has a bios update. I don't know which is the latest version.

Hope that helps

I have an Alton MXPV133 motherboard that will not recognize the second dimm bank. The first bank works with whatever memory I put in it but when I add a second stick it will not even boot.
