Binder Printing Problems

I have 3 printers hooked up to my computer, 2 network and one local. When I attempt to print the contents of a binder to my local printer (hpdeskjet 990cse) all I get is one blank page. When I try the network printer closest to my station (Canon iR5000PCL) I get about twice the amount of pages I should and they are covered with symbols, etc. The 2nd network printer that I tried (HP5SI) works perfectly. The problem is that this network printer is on a different floor than I am and it's really inconvenient. Has anyone else run into this problem and is there a fix?

Thanks for any input

go to start/settings/control panel/administrative tools/services

stop the print spooler service.

Go to c:\winnt\system32\spool\printers\ and delete any .spl files in there.

restart the spooler service (or reboot), and make sure you are printing to a device with the proper drivers. Printing a Postscript document on a PCL printer will cause problems, etc. pbxman
