i have a serious problem in billing system installed with bcm50 3.0

the billing starts charging even the other party does not answer.


all lines have disconnect supervision
and lines set to answer mode : super

is there any thing i can do it ?
is there any patch i can use it ?

please help

Never heard of Comma Billing....sorry I am usless here, but I dont see how that can be the phone systems fault, its not the users fault they dont answer!!!!.

you are right it is not thier fault

but i think there is a patch file from nortel

becausa the problem is from the bcm
 
Why do you say its the BCM?
Does the BCM make and answer calls? do calls go to voice mail? can they transfer and use all the features?
What I am saying if all works fine without a 3rd party software then why is the BCM to blame when your 3rd party software does not calculate properly.

I googled Comma Billing and came up with pretty much nothing, where did you get this software from???
Do you and why I am taking sides with the BCM lmao!!
Do you have proper instructions from them???
Does it use CTI device? drivers installed etc?

Maybe try a good working software from RSI that have a few to choose from.

Try patching the BCM anyway, there are tons of patches, depending when you last patched depends if you need them.

Could be I have no idea what I am talking about.

This was a common problem on ALL old 3rd party billing systems connected to just about any system. We even had the issue with ground start trunks on PBXs with them. All the vendors did was start billing 45 seconds after the call was initiated because they couldn't detect the answer supervision signal. They assumed that if you were still on the line after 45 seconds, that the far end had answered. Not very efficient but they did the job back then.

Take Curlys advice and get a newer call accounting system or ask the vendors support dept for proper documentation on how the thing works. I've been in this business for over 30 years and I've never heard of Comma either. Did it used to be called something else? How long has it been there? DId it work on their old system?
 
it is working fine with all norstar softwares as well as

meridian1 and cs1000

but with BCM only this problem ,


the comma billing is a software designated by one of our engineers for more than 10 years

we got one patch file from nortel i hope it will work fine,

Keep in mind that 3rd parties softwares are to keep up with the changes of software levels and platforms where the phone system does not have to keep up with the 3rd party software as too many out there.
