Hi all

Can anyone tell me if it possible to have 2 instances of BGP on the same router. Each instance would advertise a different class c address.

We have a Cisco 7200VXR internet router that advertises a class c network but we have just added another class c.

Is this possible?

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Regards

Rob

Why must you have a different instance of BGP to advertise your new /24? The simple answer is "no", you can't do that, but I'm interested to find out what you really are trying to accomplish.

As a friend of mine likes to say, "What problem are you trying to solve?

Hi jneiberger

We basically are migrating away from one AS number to
another. But we want to do it gradually. Therfore we need both AS numbers active on the same router at the same time.

Does this help!?
