What is the best AV solution to scan messages on the Exchange server? Has anybody used Nemx or know anyhting about it? The product sounds too good to be true. Is it?

Take a look at They have an AV app called Antigen. This solution came to my aid when Norton's for Exchange failed me on the Anna.jpg.vbs virus.

This is an excellent filtering, AV and AV repair tool. They offer free demo software on thier site. Worth a try. Mantislee

I use Trend Office Scan and Scanmail for Exchange....not much over head easy to administer and updating is easy ( except only checks once a day...grrr)

We use Inouculan from Computer Associates. Relatively easy to install and works well. My only complaint is that every once in a while for no apparent reason, the service has stopped running (not more than once in 60 days)

I still run Norton Corporate and it seems ok. Not had any trouble (though I can't seem to get it to update itself automatically).

Hanson-
We use both norton corporate edition and trend micro for clients. norton sometimes seems to have a habit of bringing the server to it's knees if the server doesn't get it's regular reboot. i think trend has a free exchange eval on their site.
