I have heard the Avaya SIP conference phones take extra effort to program (from someone who was doing it on a job site while I was setting up regular phones.) Are they better/worse than the Polycom? If I have a digital solution, it seems to me the wireless Polycom would be a better choice using analog ports than using the Avaya ones unless Avaya is that much better - does anyone have any opinions on quality differences? Thanks in advance.

go with the wireless polycom, it's a great phone, good sound quality!

I always prefer the analog ones regardless what brand.
I noticed that the Avaya B149 has a nice sound when you sit and the phone is on the table, but when standing up it sounds a bit hollow and the base is missing. Seeing that most people will not stand during a conf call that is probably useless info but I first thought it is not a good phone until I sat down.
Polycom analog yes but I do not like the IP7000 because I always fight with it upgrading because it doesn't like the Manager as TFTP I have to do extra steps to make it grab the files, after that it is routine and works quite well but the main reason for my analog preference (no not my age) is that I do not need a license andthe phones are actually cheaper and a lot of customers do not like the "dialing then hit call" process of SIP phones.

The Polycom ones look like a frisbee with a calculator stuck to them. The Avaya ones are good and I never found them hard to set up. Use an alog one if you want simplicity, they are a fair bit cheaper too!
