Hello,
We have 2 sites and backup exec v8.6 runs on both of them. On our site we back up over 100GB of data across lots of servers every night with no problems.
On the remote site they backup up 30GB on one server and I noticed that the C drive on their server was filling up quite quickly. On closer inspection it seems they had a file in the c:/Program files/veritas/backup exec/nt directory called besnmp.trc which was over 50MB in size. I compared that with the same file on our server and ours is 5MB in size.
I deleted this file on the remote server and recreated an empty one and backup exec did not complain, but in 5 weeks this file is now up to 35MB in size again.
Is there an option in Backup Exec that we may have mistakenly selected that would cause this file to become so big? Any help would be appreciated.
