I'm just starting to experiment with using fromats other than .mdw. My first experiment was to convert a simple front-end .mdw to an .mde and i went from 5592 KB to 5492 KB. There wasn't a whole lot of code, but I expected a bigger difference. Even worse, when I open my main form, pulling only about 1200 records form one table and 12000 matching records from a second table, it only takes 2 seconds in the .mdw but 22 seconds in the .mde! Anyone have any hints about what I might be doing wrong? My next step would be to try packaging this with the wizard.
