Beginner needs help

I have created form with 2 txt boxes and a couple of command buttons.

txtBalance
txtPayment

When I enter a payment and click on cmdProcessPayment my txtBalance updates. (txtBalance.text - txtPayment.text). It works!

The problem I now have is that I don't know how to save the new value of txtBalance so that when I open my form the next time, it does not go back to my original balance.

Can someone guide me?

you can use an global variable for entire project
