Because of a security error, the client could not connect to the Terminal server. After making sure that you are logged on to the network, try connecting to the server again

??? unable to connect via rdp at all and get this message

having major problems with this bug.

I have just applied a load of security patches and i think that might be the problem.

I have seen reports relating to the XP rdp client but we are using 2k workstations and using the rdp client that shipped with it. the problem only occured after patching.

permissions/accounts are correct over rdp.

anyone have any ideas please ? i cannot connect to the effected 2k terminal servers thru rdp and am limited to ica at the moment.

It sounds like something has changed with the permissions to RDP on the windows 2k terminal servers. I'd check to see what the permissions are on the protocol - if you can log in through ICA, you should be able to do the same through RDP. Also, which updates did you apply and were any of them specific to RDP?
