I have a netapp appliance server that I get an "access denied" error when I try to back it up. It worked fine in BE 9.1. But the Domain Controller at the same location in Windows Server 2003 R2. I have to use R2 to be able to backup that DC but then I can't backup my netapp. I need to get a backup on both can anyone shed some light?

Thanks,

Aaron

Just an addendum with more info:

ndmp is off
file share selection is on in BE
I have tried browsing normal and user defined shares
I made my backup login account a member of the local backup operators group on the filer on the netapp

Still no joy.

Thanks,

Aaron

In Backup Exec make sure under Network - Logon acocunt you have a System Logon account. This must be the default account and the username/pass should be the user the Backup Exec services are running as. Exampled Domain/username.

Create a new job and try a backup

It is a system logon account and it is domain/username. It's the same domain account used on all my backups on all my BE servers but only this one has to backup a netapp. That same domain account is also a member of backup operators group local on the netapp.

Thanks for the reply though.
