BCM50 + C# Application Integration

Hi All,

We have BCM50 at the office right now.

For a Customer Service/Call Center type application I need to be able to implement calling from the application and receiving calls.

I have been looking at TAPI, but not sure how to connect to the BCM50, abit confused regarding keycodes etc.

I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

You pose a good question and one that many of us get to see often enough. Have you discussed this with your vendor?

The way I see it, CTE integration between your PC and the phone system requires an individual CTE license for each user on your phone system. TAPI is a program that allows your PC to communicate with the phone system where CTE licensing allows the connection between the two.

First off, I hope I am correct in the assessment of the integration and how the licensing works.. As I said, we don't get this kinda stuff too often..

I'll probably give BT a ring today to see what they say. I think your on the right line though.

The BCM Elements Manager says we have inactive VoIP lines. Now do we need keycodes to activate them? This is so we can try out the i2050 Software phone, which currently keeps coming up with "SERVER: NO PORTS LEFT".

I am new to all this BCM, so the above may seem like a silly question.

That you need IP client keycode for ip sets. The no ports means you can't add any. Or you can deregister an IP set you have to test the 2050.
