Installing a BCM 400 for the first time. I have set up the DID's under the LINE programming. Ex: DID number 1005 is on line 305 etc.... I have set up extension 1005 to ring on line 305. Recieved digits are 4. When I call the telephone number. xxx-xxx-1005 I get a fast busy... So, just to do a test. I put a MICS 0x32 on the T-1 and it works fine.... what programming am I missing?

More information: the lines are setup
Trunk Type: E&M
Dial Mode: Tone
Ans Mode: Auto
Ans with Disa: N
Signal: Wink Start
ANI Number: N

T1 setup:
ESF B8ZS
Primary Timing

Are u sure the card is enabled on bcm..Are u sure its programmed in correct slot...Also there is a bcm forum try there

Because of my lack of confidence still on this system and settings, my answer is "I think so" because I can make calls
out on the same T1. Is there another setting I should check?
Dip switch settings? Programming settings? Thanks LL !!

first..why 305 if 241 is the start target line?
2...length is set correctly in dailing plan programming???
3 ..public recieved # is correct???

First of all this should have been posted in the BCM forum.

Second, go to resources, media bay modules and make sure that the BCM sees the T-1 module. Another way is to simply look on the front of the module. Are there any blinking lights? If so then the BCM does not see that module. Are there 3 solid green lights and 1 amber light? If so, then the BCM sees the module but your settings are wrong in programming.

One more question......why would you have your T-1 Card programmed for E&M if you are doing two-way DID? You need to set the module type to DID.

Is this PRI?

There are a ton more questions but I think I will stop there.

Chad
