BCM 200 not releasing ports

Please excuse my newbie's lack of understanding of terms, etc.

We have a branch office that runs a BCM 200. About once a week the service goes down at this site and the box needs rebooting.

Last week voicemail wouldn't work and the vendor said he thought the trunks (8) were not releasing after being used. He went in and stop/start'd the H323 service and things began to work.

Does this sound like a reasonable explanation? I think things should work better than this. All our service requests are going thru the vendor but I'm not sure they know as much as they need to know to get this thing squared away.

Any ideas on how I can get this site working and reliable?
